Troops rescue kidnap victim in Plateau, intensify search for his son

Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP) have rescued a kidnap victim following a reported abduction at Mista Ali area of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. The incident occurred at about midnight on August 9, 2026 when troops of Sector 1, OPEP, responded to a distress report concerning the abduction of Mr Boyi Sauka and his son, Mantum Sauka, in the area. Sources said that  the troops immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation following the report. During the operation, the troops located and rescued Boyi Sauka, who had sustained injuries during the incident. He was promptly evacuated to AG Hospital, Mista Ali, where he was admitted for medical attention. However, his son, Mantum Sauka, remains in the custody of the kidnappers, prompting security forces to intensify search operations in the surrounding areas. Troops are also working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the abduction.  The post Troops rescue kidnap victim in Plateau, intensify search for his son appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
