Three young men k!lled in fresh Plateau attack

Gunmen have k!lled three youths in Gwa Rim community, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. The attack occurred at about 2: am on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 when the gunmen opened fire on the young men, said to be members of a local vigilantes group, who were keeping watch at the community guard post. A member of the area, Damba Dang, who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust said the attackers struck when the community was asleep, k!lling three.  He lamented the renewed attacks on communities in the area, saying residents were becoming increasingly worried over their safety. He said the k!lling of the vigilantes was particularly disturbing because they were only providing security for their community and helping to protect residents against attacks. He appealed to security agencies to urgently strengthen security around Gwa Rim and other vulnerable communities in Riyom to prevent further attacks. Dang also urged security operatives to investigate the incident, track down the perpetrators and ensure that those responsible for the k!llings were brought to justice.The post Three young men k!lled in fresh Plateau attack appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
