Many civil servants absent as Jigawa Governor pays unscheduled visit to state secretariat (visit)
Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi today July 20, paid an unscheduled visit to the state secretariat and met the absence of several top government officials during working hours.  The offices of the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service and Accountant General were reportedly locked when the governor arrived. During his visit, several commissioners and permanent secretaries were absent from their offices during the inspection. However, the governor met the Commissioner for Works at his duty post, while the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Health and Livestock Development were also present. Out of the states 18 commissioners, only one was found in the office at the time of the visit.  Reacting to the development, Governor Namadi criticised the poor attendance and lack of commitment displayed by some officials, warning that his administration would not tolerate absenteeism, indiscipline or misconduct within the civil service.      View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post Many civil servants absent as Jigawa Governor pays unscheduled visit to state secretariat (visit) appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
