Busha launches licensed prediction market “Signal” in Nigeria

Busha, the Nigerian digital asset exchange, has launched “Signal by Busha,” a licensed prediction market platform that allows users to trade on outcomes across sports, crypto, politics, culture, and economics.

The platform went live on August 3, 2026, and is licensed by the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority. Signal enables users to trade positions in real-time markets, buying and selling as new information becomes available. Users can fund their Signal wallet directly from their Busha wallet using Naira, stablecoins, or crypto, with payouts auto-crediting once a market resolves.

The platform is currently available as a web application for existing Busha users, while new users must first sign up on Busha to gain access.

According to the company, the bigger idea behind Signal is that prediction markets capture what people are actually willing to back with conviction, something traditional polls and sentiment tools cannot achieve. This makes the platform useful not just for individuals, but for businesses, researchers, and analysts tracking emerging trends across various sectors.

The launch represents a deliberate expansion of Busha’s business model, transitioning from a digital asset exchange into a broader technology company operating at the intersection of finance, information, and emerging technology. The company’s leadership team, including Titilayo Ogunleye, Samuel Rowland, and Moyo Sodipo, has been working with the Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria to ensure regulatory compliance.

The announcement comes amid a series of significant product developments from Busha, including Busha 3.0, Busha Business, and a planned stablecoin Visa card currently in development.

In a related social media post, Busha shared an investing cautionary tale, advising users that the biggest investment mistake is not buying the wrong asset but selling the right one early. The company encouraged users to consider tools like Auto Buy to manage their investment edges effectively.
