Bandits attack rector’s residence, k!ll guard, abduct lecturer and others in Zamfara

Bandits attacked the residence of the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, k!lling his security guard before abducting several residents. A resident of Kaura Namoda, who spoke to Daily Trust on condition of anonymity, said the attackers stormed the town at about 1:00 a.m on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. According to the source, the rector narrowly escaped with his wife and daughter after climbing over the perimeter fence of his residence. The rector used a ladder to scale the fence. He first assisted his wife and daughter to cross before climbing over himself.
