200-level Gombe varsity student found d3ad in stagnant water
The body of a 200-level student of the Federal University of Kashere (FUK), Gombe State, has been recovered from a statement water in Sabon Garin Yero village, near Kashere town, Akko Local Government Area of the state. The deceased was identified as Enoch Maisamari, a 28-year-old student of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Federal University of Kashere.It was gathered that Maisamari had been missing since Sunday. He was last seen at a graduation party organised by the universitys final-year students.A witness told Daily Trust that Maisamari, who hailed from Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State, was found by the police on Tuesday morning, July 21, 2026.The source said the police later contacted the university authorities, while one of his coursemates subsequently identified the body.The spokesperson for the Gombe State Police Command, DSP Buhari Abdullah, confirmed the incident.According to him, the command received a report on Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. regarding the recovery of Maisamaris lifeless body from a stagnant water body in Sabon Garin Yero Village, Akko Local Government Area. The victim was evacuated to the General Hospital, Kashere, where he was certified d3ad. No visible marks of violence were observed on the body.
